Pliny The Younger Weekend 2019
All of us Craft Beer Enthusiasts rejoice when Russian River Brewing Co. releases Pliny the Younger once every year. This VERY limited distribution beer is only available at select locations -- and this year, we are very excited to announce that Haven Craft Kitchen + Bar will feature a Pliny the Younger Weekend on Saturday, February 23rd *AND* Sunday, February 24th! (Learn how to win a spot at the front of the line at the bottom of this message.)
On Saturday, Feb 23rd and Sunday, Feb 24th at 9 AM, Pliny the Younger will be available both by itself, or with a flight of Russian River beers to go with our brunch menu (yes, we serve brunch at 9 AM every Sunday, and will add a Saturday Brunch for this weekend only):
You'll be able to get a Pliny the Younger, alongside the other featured beers in a tasting flight. Pliny the Younger will be limited to one per person. Guests will also receive a special glass to commemorate the event (while supplies last).
Pliny the Younger will be poured on a first come, first served basis. If there is a line, we will give tickets to the line just before 9 a.m.
#SKIPTHELINE!
WIN A CHANCE TO BE ONE OF THE FIRST TO ENJOY PLINY THE YOUNGER!
We've saved 5 spots at the front of our Pliny the Younger line on Saturday, February 23rd and 5 spots on Sunday, February 24th, and you'll be able to win one of those coveted spots! Due to its popularity and limited release, there's always a line when this beer is available, and since our Pliny the Younger event is being held on both Saturday and Sunday this year, we expect there to be many of you coming out. With that said, we're hosting 10 contests between now and February 22nd on Instagram! FOLLOW US at @havencraftkitchen to learn how to enter the contest -- if you don't win at first, don't sweat it because you will have more chances to be among the first to indulge in the Younger until we pick our 10 winners!
ABOUT: Russian River Pliny the Younger Triple India Pale Ale
Pliny the Younger, the man, was Pliny the Elder's nephew and adopted son. They lived nearly 2,000 years ago! Pliny the Elder is Russian River's Double IPA, so they felt it was fitting to name their Triple IPA after his son. It is almost a true Triple IPA with triple the amount of hops as a regular IPA. That said, it is extremely difficult, time and space consuming, and very expensive to make. And that is why they don't make it more often! This beer is very full-bodied with tons of hop character in the nose and throughout. It is also deceptively well-balanced and smooth. Need a taste? We'll see you on February 23rd and/or 24th.
